What is a fully managed fractional payroll department?
It is an outside team that works as your payroll department without a full-time hire. At PayAdvisors, the team gathers your payroll inputs, prepares, reviews and submits each payroll, files payroll taxes, handles notices and answers employee paycheck questions. You approve every run and stay the employer.
What is a managed payroll service?
A managed payroll service is an outside team that runs your payroll for you. The team collects inputs, processes and checks each run, and handles filings, notices and employee questions. You approve every run and stay the employer.
Is managed payroll the same as payroll software?
No. Payroll software calculates pay and files taxes, but someone still has to do the work in it. With managed payroll, our team does that work inside your software, and you approve every run.
Do we have to switch payroll systems to work with PayAdvisors?
No. We work inside the payroll system you already use and learn your current processes.
How much does managed payroll cost?
It depends on the hours of team support you need: about 5, 10 or 20 hours a week. Service is month to month. Work beyond your level is billed hourly or moved up a level.
Can you run payroll in several states?
Yes. We support payroll in all 50 states and handle state payroll tax registrations wherever you have employees.
Will we lose control of our payroll?
No. Your data stays in your own payroll system, and nothing is submitted until you approve it.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. There is no minimum term. Service is month to month.
How long does onboarding take?
Onboarding runs in phases. Weeks 1 to 2 are onboarding and training. Weeks 3 to 4 are payroll takeover and your first live payroll with us. From week 5, we move into ongoing payroll optimization.
